I think a zoo visit sounds fun, so today, I’m sharing photos I’ve taken at our zoo. (who doesn’t want cute animals?!)
If you go to the zoo, you just have to check out the giraffes!
These great beasties are some of the most fun and interesting in creation.
A recent addition to our zoo was the penguin exhibit. (Excuse the bad photo, but it is a cute penguin)
Sigh! Best section ever — until I get to the elephants, zebras, big cats, flamingoes……
Penguins are so delightful and surprisingly graceful. I could stay in that exhibit for hours (partly because it’s cooler)
And next to the lions!
This photo is really fun because it was starting to thunder quite loudly. The gentleman lion had been taking a nice nap, and then sat up looking around (as photographed), and then got up to check on the lady lion — who told him to stop worrying about the thunder. He eventually laid back down, but remained alert.
Elephants! If anything’s more hilarious and fantastical than giraffes, it has to be elephants.
It’s always entertaining visiting the elephants, especially when the baby is trying to climb over a log and can’t quite make it.
OK, I just don’t know which is my favorite section of the zoo. Because now we’ve come to…
The polar bears!
This polar bear was very happy and entertained a lot of visitors with swimming, playing with sticks and triumphantly standing atop the ‘mountain’
