Going on an Adventure

Confession. I am bad at talking about things — especially when it’s hard for me to define them.

For example, I have plans for ‘taking my business to the next level’, which will actually be quite the process and means a lot of change, so it’s kind of big.

But, I just don’t talk about it. I think it’s mostly because I just don’t talk much, but also a silly inner voice that says, “what if it won’t work? What will people think of that — and won’t it be a waste of time?”…………

Ah, the bliss of the answering thought, maybe a whisper from an angel, “And what if it doesn’t work? Give it a try. If the Lord wants it to happen, it will happen.”

So, I decided to challenge myself and talk about it here, and start the process of making it happen — before I’m ready.

We all know, of course, that besides Doubt and Fear, the next most dangerous thing to starting something new is over-planning and trying to make it ‘perfect’.

So, with all due respect to caution, and a curtsy to preparedness — I’m going to plunge ahead into the unknown.

In the next weeks — probably months — I’ll be working on setting up a Patreon page, starting an Instagram account, and Facebook group. I am especially excited about the Instagram account.

I will also be working on branding, cleaning up my blog, figuring out a newsletter, and creating much more.

I am very excited about this, and very excited to see where it goes. It truly will be an adventure.

And first out to start up these thrilling changes — my new Portfolio Page! Check it out!

I was actually extremely pleased with how this how it came out. I wasn’t looking forward to it, because it feels so silly showing off one’s own creations, but it was encouraging and interesting to see all the things I’ve made so far.

The photos featured on my portfolio page are all things I am interested in selling — or variations thereof — and many of them I have already sold on my Etsy Shop.

As far as my photography goes, I am still in the process of trying to figure out how I want to sell it. However, if you are interested in purchasing either something sewn or some of my photography, you can contact me through my Etsy shop, or at homespuntabby@outlook.com!

I am so excited about this, I’d better stop here because I might start babbling things that don’t make sense. Like: “birds! Poems! Food! Stationary!”

Anyway, hopefully I will be able to introduce you to some of these fun things I’ve mentioned very soon! (I’m aiming for next week)

When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.” — Psalm 56:3
